COACHING
Gabriel Hernandez is the Head Coach of Winstone Park Tennis Club. Gabriel has a team of coaches who cover Winstone Park, Sunny Hills and Koru Tennis clubs. Gabriel and his team have been past winners of Tennis Auckland coach of the year.
The coaching programme is as below:
Friday Junior Coaching (School Terms 4 & 1)
- Coaching programme: in combination with our familiar WPTC coaching assistants from last season
- Term 4: Begins TBA and runs during school term
- Term 1: Begins TBA and runs during school term
- School terms 4 & 1 coaching fees: included in junior membership (please ensure membership is paid prior)
- No Friday junior coaching in school terms 2 & 3: Break over winter, no change to prior years
- Session groups are to be determined within the first few weeks, but based on last year were:

- 4-5pm, Group 1: Red group coaching (Introductory level)
- 5-6pm, Group 2: Orange group coaching (Intermediate level)
- 6-7pm, Group 3: Green group coaching (almost interclub ready or playing interclub)
- 7-8pm: Group 4: Assistant coaches and advanced junior group coaching
Private Coaching (including Wednesday Adult, Advanced Junior/Junior Interclub Group Coaching)
- Begins TBA and sessions generally align with school terms
- From 4pm through to evening
- To be co-ordinated between individual and coach. Please contact coach@winstoneparktennis.co.nz
- 30 or 45 mins lessons also available
- Non-member fees apply
Head Coach rates:
- Private Coaching: $75 per hour or $675 for 10 hrs
- Two people $75 ($37.50 per person), Three people $80 ($27 per person), Four people $85 ($21.25 per person)
Club coach
- Private Coaching: $55 per hour or $500 for 10 hrs up to two people
A 10% discount applies when paying in advanced for a package of 10hrs (with up to 4 people in the class)
Non member fees apply
30 or 45 minute lessons also available.
